From an early age, my fascination with the depths of the psyche, a curiosity about who I am and why I am here, and the nature of reality and the universe has shaped my personal growth journey. Growing up I always felt some sort of separateness or otherness, like I didn’t belong and no one could fully understand or truly see me for who I really was. It led me down a path of unconsciously created problems that would eventually teach me who I was and how to hold that truth no matter what kind of situation I was in. It took a lot of work, struggle, pain, trauma and commitment to eventually find a place where I have been able to stand in my truth, regardless of how terrifying it still is sometimes.

Throughout my life, my career interests have undergone constant flux and metamorphosis, and I have come to appreciate this fluidity as a virtue. I began my collegiate journey interested in business, then graduated with an Art degree, worked in the insurance world briefly before discovering a love for yoga and eventually finding my way to acupuncture school. I graduated from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley in 2010, became a Licensed Acupuncturist and opened a private practice; Lion’s Heart Acupuncture & Wellness. In 2018 I received a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Health Sciences. In my relentless quest for knowledge, I sought further professional development by successfully completing a Certified Nutritionist program, a Beyond Quantum Healing program specializing in past life hypnosis, and a comprehensive year-long training in Jungian Depth Psychology Coaching through The Creative Mind Method and becoming a Certified Hypnotherapist specializing in medical hypnosis. Moreover, since 2013, I have devoted myself to rigorous weekly training in meditation, quantum healing, and timeline healing techniques, becoming a proficient meditation instructor and accomplished energetic healer.

Drawn to the realm of coaching by the natural evolution of my acupuncture practice and propelled by my profound intrigue with consciousness and its intricate interplay in the manifestation— or lack thereof—of our lives, I gravitated towards this profession. My in-person acupuncture practice has honed my expertise in delivering mental and emotional healthcare, offering support during pivotal life transitions, and addressing the physiological ramifications stemming from such transformations, including pain, illness, and even terminal diagnoses. These thematic elements have seamlessly woven themselves into the fabric of my coaching practice. In addition to seeing patients in person for acupuncture at Lion’s Heart Wellness and online coaching I am also a volunteer for the Living / Dying Project providing End of Life Spiritual Counseling, the Found and Director of The Integrative Healing Institute and a former Board Member of the professional association CSOMA.

As a coach I think of myself as a reflective mirror for what it is you’re ready and willing to see and hear. My sessions transcend rigid protocols and prescribed tasks; instead, they are bespoke experiences tailored specifically to your unique needs and current challenges. One day, our session may encompass profound introspection and confrontational work, while on another day, it may resemble a heartfelt conversation with a cherished confidant. I leave myself open to adjust as needed and truly show up for you in the way your spirit and heart craves. Drawing upon my decades of intuitive and meditation training, coupled with the profound insights gained from treating countless patients, I foster an environment of safety and ease within our sessions, empowering you to courageously traverse the depths of your unconscious mind, fortified by the unwavering support I provide. I want my clients to feel held and supported and also simultaneously challenged to grow and move past their blocks and limiting beliefs and patterns. Although this process may evoke feelings of fear and difficulty, with a grounded, present, and experienced coach by your side, remarkable transformations and blossoming growth can unfold.

I consider it a profound honor that my clients choose to embark on this transformative journey with me. Each day, I am humbled by the opportunity to contribute to the personal and professional development of numerous individuals in such a meaningful way. The ability to serve as a catalyst for their growth is a privilege that continually inspires and motivates me.

I invite you to embark on a collaborative journey with me—one that illuminates the path to self-discovery, empowerment, and holistic well-being. Together, we will navigate the intricate tapestry of your consciousness, unravel the layers that veil your true essence, and embrace the transformative power that lies within. With deep reverence for the human spirit and an unwavering commitment to your growth, I am here to guide, support, and champion you every step of the way.

Who are you? What’s your training? Hi! I’m Kim Peirano, DACM, LAc, CHT – I have over 15 years of experience working with patients and clients as an acupuncturist, coach, and hypnotherapist. I have a Doctorate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, am a Certified Jungian Life Coach, a Certified Hypnotherapist, am a trained intuitive, and have extensively studied five element theory, Taoism, meditation, visualization, energetic healing modalities, medical hypnotherapy, and spiritual counseling for end of life and hospice care. My areas of interest and specialties include working with clients who live with chronic pain and illness, are undergoing major life changes, are spiritual seekers looking to connect to their own inner wisdom and intuition on a deeper level, the intersection of the body, mind and spirit and end of life support.

What makes your process different? Every individual is just that, an individual – and my coaching process honors that uniqueness. We begin with an initial assessment, goal setting, and personalized sessions tailored to your needs. We work collaboratively to address challenges, cultivate strengths, and achieve your objectives utilizing my vast toolbox of modalities, training and experience to get there. My process is geared towards holding you in a safe space for vulnerability and exploration while gently pushing you beyond your comfort zone to the space where true, expansive change is possible. It isn’t an easy process, but it is a profound process, my breadth of experience and training offers that container and skill to move you into your zone of growth and transformation.

How long does it take to see results from coaching or hypnotherapy? The timeline varies for each individual. Many clients experience positive shifts early on, while others may take more time. The focus is on sustainable, long-term change, which can take time and practice.

Why do I need a coach instead of just using self-help or online resources? While self-help resources provide general guidance, coaching offers personalized support, accountability, and a tailored approach to your specific needs and goals, having a coach helps you to move beyond your comfort zone and experience true transformative change on a faster timeline.

How often are sessions? Are they online or in-person? Coaching sessions are typically scheduled regularly, with the frequency determined by your needs, usually once per week. Sessions are conducted virtually, providing flexibility to accommodate your preferences. If you are local to the San Francisco Bay Area we may be able to work in person on occasion, this work can be deepened by adding a body based treatment like acupuncture to your session.

Are my sessions confidential? Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of the coaching relationship. Your privacy is respected, and information shared during sessions is kept confidential unless there is a risk of harm.

Is this therapy? Will I get a diagnosis? No, this process is not therapy and I am not a psychotherapist or psychologist. Coaching is not used to diagnose or treat disease or illness. Coaching focuses on the present and future, helping individuals set and achieve goals, while therapy often explores and addresses past issues. Coaching is an action-oriented and results-driven collaborative process. *If you are experiencing a major life crisis* My goal is keeping you safe and offering ethical support. If you are going through a major life crisis it is best to seek professional support from a medical doctor, licensed psychotherapist or psychiatrist. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or thoughts of self harming please call 911 or 988 to reach the appropriate help.
